W4: An Alien Landed in My Backyard

Last night, I was sitting in the living room, enjoying the peaceful night. The occasional rustling of leaves in the wind added to the quiet atmosphere. Just as I was about to turn off the TV and go to bed, a strange buzzing sound came from outside, like the hum of an electronic device. I frowned, feeling a little uneasy, but curiosity got the better of me, and I walked toward the window to check it out.

As I peeked outside, a blinding blue beam of light tore through the night sky, illuminating the entire yard. I froze instantly, my heart pounding wildly. My hands and feet felt ice-cold as I stood there, unable to move. A silver spacecraft slowly descended, its landing stirring the grass beneath it. The hatch opened gradually, and a glowing blue figure stepped out.

It was about two meters tall, its skin shimmering faintly with an otherworldly glow. Its deep-set eyes exuded intelligence, and its slender limbs extended gracefully, with glowing fingertips. Though its appearance was alien, its gaze held confusion and unease—like a lost traveler. I remained motionless, staring at it in shock, barely able to breathe.

Strangely, although it never spoke, I could understand what it was trying to convey. Its eyes pleaded for help, and fragmented thoughts surfaced in my mind: *“…Ship…broken…stay…few days…”

I realized we shared some kind of telepathic connection that allowed us to communicate beyond language. I pointed to myself and said my name, then gestured toward it, hoping for a response. It seemed to understand, lightly tapping its chest. A sound echoed in my mind—its name.

Taking a deep breath, I gathered my courage and gestured for it to follow me. It hesitated for a moment before nodding slightly and stepping inside my house. I instinctively offered it a glass of water, but it merely glanced at it and shook its head. It didn't seem to need food or water. Instead, it reached out, its glowing fingertip tracing a complex diagram on the table which show a detailed schematic of its spacecraft, before pointing to a damaged component.

Just as I was trying to figure out how to help, the distant roar of helicopters sent a chill down my spine. I rushed to the window and saw black vehicles speeding down the street, red and blue lights flashing ominously.

“They’re coming…” I whispered, my heart pounding with anxiety.

The alien sensed the danger too, its glowing eyes reflecting worry. I knew that if the government found it, there was no guarantee they would treat it kindly. Instinctively, I made a bold decision.

“We have to hide,” I told it.

It nodded and raised its hand. Instantly, a wave of energy rippled through the air. The yard outside flickered as if reality itself had warped. In just a few moments, the spacecraft vanished from sight, replaced by a perfect illusion, an empty and undisturbed backyard. Even the faint scorch marks from the landing disappeared.

A loud knock came at the door.

“Please open the door. We received reports of an unidentified object in this area.”

I took a deep breath, struggling with the decision. Should I lie to protect this lost traveler or turn it in and hope the government would help rather than exploit it?

I gripped the doorknob tightly, forcing myself to sound calm. “It must be a mistake,” I said. “I didn’t see anything unusual.”

The agents scrutinized me, searching for any sign of deception. After a tense pause, one of them nodded, signaling for the others to leave.

I turned back to the alien, who slowly reappeared as the illusion dissolved. Gratitude shone in its eyes.

Over the next few days, the alien quietly repaired its spacecraft using the spare tools it had brought. I offered to help, but it told me that human technology couldn't comprehend the materials it used. All I could do was watch in silent amazement.

Finally, the spacecraft’s core systems were restored. I stood in the backyard, watching as the alien prepared to leave.

Before stepping into its ship, it turned and reached out, placing a hand gently on my forehead. A warm sensation spread through me, filling my mind with something indescribable. Then, in a blink, its spacecraft rose into the night sky and disappeared among the stars.

I looked down at my palm, where a faint glow lingered. I didn’t know what the alien had given me, but I knew one thing for certain, this encounter had changed my life forever.

Perhaps we are not alone in the universe, but maybe, just maybe, we are not yet ready to embrace the vast unknown.

W1: If Time Travel Was Real: My First Adventure

I was walking through the bustling streets of Kuala Lumpur city center, where neon billboards reflected off sleek glass skyscrapers. The aroma of street food filled the air, blending with the distant hum of motorcycles. Near the iconic Petronas Towers, I noticed an elderly woman struggling to carry a heavy bag. Her frail frame trembled under the weight, and she looked as if she could collapse at any moment. Without hesitation, I rushed over and took the bag from her hands. "Let me help you, ma’am," I said. She looked up, her wrinkled face showing surprise, then gratitude. "Thank you, young lady," she replied warmly. We walked together, talking as we navigated the busy streets. When we reached her apartment, she smiled and reached into her pocket. "Take this," she said, pressing a sleek wristwatch into my palm. "A token of my gratitude." The watch was perfect — minimalist, with a Tiffany-blue dial and a smooth, futuristic strap. It had a tiny gl...

W2: The Day I Woke Up with a Superpower

One ordinary morning, I woke up feeling unusually refreshed. Even my usual headaches were gone. As I rubbed my temples absentmindedly, a warm sensation pulsed through my fingertips. At that moment, an unfamiliar message appeared in my mind—"Healing complete." I froze, unsure if I was imagining things. Was it a dream? A hallucination? Testing my senses, I reached for a small cut on my arm from the day before. The moment my fingers brushed over it, warmth surged through my skin, and the cut vanished before my eyes. My heart pounded. This was real. I ran downstairs, my mind racing with possibilities. As I entered the kitchen, I noticed my mother massaging her wrist, wincing in pain. She had been struggling with joint pain for months. Hesitating only for a second, I reached out and gently placed my fingers on her wrist. A tingling warmth coursed through me, and within moments, she flexed her fingers with ease. "The pain is gone!" she exclaimed. Excitement surged within ...
